Panel on Cultural sustainability in ICCPR

In order to expand awareness and foster discussion of the issues of the Action within the fields related to cultural policy, a special panel on “Investigating Culture, Cultural Policy, and Sustainable Development” will be organized for the International Conference on Cultural Policy Research (ICCPR) 2012, in Barcelona, July 9-12, 2012. The panel will highlight some of the research underway by the Working Groups and individual members of this COST Action. Four papers and the panel discussion addressed the following topics: culture in sustainable community planning, linking cultural and ecological diversity, cultural sustainability and participation, the arts as means for promoting sustainable development, scientific and policy discourses of cultural sustainability, and measuring sustainability of culture.
